The N4 level is the elementary stage of Japanese learning, designed for students who have mastered the basics and are ready to expand their language skills. It bridges the gap between foundational knowledge and intermediate proficiency, focusing on practical communication and comprehension.
Learners deepen their understanding of grammar and sentence structures while expanding vocabulary to handle everyday situations. They continue studying Hiragana, Katakana, and more Kanji characters, enabling them to read and write simple texts, understand instructions, and engage in conversations. Emphasis is placed on expressing opinions, describing experiences, and communicating naturally in daily interactions.
Listening and speaking skills are further developed. Students practice following slightly longer dialogues, understanding main ideas, and responding appropriately. Activities include role-plays, question-answer exercises, and comprehension tasks, building confidence beyond basic greetings.
